The deafening national silence about black-on-white crime would qualify as an eternal disgrace merely in comparison with the deafening roar that accompanies white-on-black/ brown crime. Without easily accessible, true data about racial, ethnic and nationality group crime rates, the citizen is deprived of the foundation on which to judge the necessity and fairness of a variety of policies ranging from crime profiling, to the true effects of immigration laws and enforcement procedures.
