The influence of Islam on the Third Reich By Darrin Hodges

There are some interesting similarities between Islamism and Nazism. Islam is a blend of politics and religion, a political movement with a thread of religion running through it to give it a mystical quality designed to ease mens conscience when carrying out acts of evil. Nazism too, with its invocation of ancient pagan gods, particularly by Himmler's SS and demands of unswerving loyalty is designed to allow men to commit acts of great evil without thought. Both ideologies were driven by a leading demagogue and both Hitler and Mohammad believed in their 'divine destiny' to lead such movements:

Today it seems to me providential that Fate should have chosen Braunau on the Inn as my birth place. For this little town lies on the boundary between two German states which we of the younger generation at least have made it our life's work to reunite by every means at our disposal.
    Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf.
