Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity By Richard Geno

In 2006, John Stossel released a book that debunked many myths that we hear regularly in American society. As the New York Times bestselling author and long-time researcher of consumer matters on 20/20, he indicated that the book is the work of more than a hundred excellent researchers. They dug through much nonsense and found the truth. John discovered that much of what he thought was true was nonsense. Stossel also pointed out that "myth" doesn't necessarily mean "false" - it can also mean "a popular belief or tradition." He indicated that along the way, he and the other researchers met some very interesting people, scam artists, heroic seekers of truth, liars and dimwits. For those who missed reading this excellent book, through John Stossel, I am going to share some of his on-the-job education with you.
