The Muslim Brotherhood New International Economic Order By Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld

The origins of all Islamic economic and financial regulatory organizations, date back to the 1920s invention of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) founder Hassan Al-Banna, who designed political, economic, and financial infrastructures to enable Muslims to fulfill a key form of jihad mandated by the Koran (Al Jihad bi-al-Mal — financial jihad) “you… should strive for the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives....” – 61:10-11.

He viewed finance as a critical weapon to undermine the infidels — and “work towards establishing an Islamic rule on earth.” To do that, he understood that Muslims must create an independent Islamic financial system to parallel and later supersede the Western economy.

Vincente Fox Implicates President Bush in a Plot to Form a North American Union By Larry Fester

Former Mexican President Vincente Fox making the tours of U.S. talk shows to push his new book implicated President Bush in a plot to form a North American Union.

Fox advocated unfettered immigration and erasing U.S. borders with Mexico and said he hoped for a North American Union on Comedy Central.

President Bush has recently claimed that a North American Union was a conspiracy theory.
Fox then tells Larry King that he and President Bush were working on a North American currency until derailed by leftist Hugo Chavez. King asked Fox if he meant like the Euro Dollar and Fox said yes.

"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.

"We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.

"With this decision, Gov. Schwarzenegger has told parents that their values are irrelevant. Many parents will have no choice but to pull their children out of the public schools that have now become sexualized indoctrination centers."

Joe To Dubya: Use ICE Agents Against Illegal Alien Coddler Eliot Spitzer By Joe Guzzardi

Last week, I filed my second column in as many weeks (read them here and here) about New York Governor Eliot Spitzer and his edict that illegal aliens will, effective December 1st, qualify for driver’s licenses.

I told myself that I had written all that I had to say about the subject.

But I was wrong. After I monitored the explosive story for one more week, spoke to Rensselaer County Clerk Frank Merola who is bucking Spitzer by refusing to give licenses to aliens and consulted with VDARE.COM’s “Anonymous Attorney”, I realized that there is much more to report. [Lawmakers Debate Driver’s License Plan, By Kenneth C. Crowe II and Paul Nelson, Albany Times Union, October 8, 2007]

After analyzing all the information, I have come to the somewhat surprising conclusion that, whatever the ultimate outcome may be in New York, Spitzer’s treasonous behavior represents a win—and a huge one—for patriotic immigration reformers.

My Opinion on Ann Coulter's Opinion of the Jews By Kyle-Anne Shiver

I'm no more an expert theologian than Ann Coulter is, but I have been a Christian nearly all of my life and have logged in more than 40 years of personal and formal Bible study.  So, even though I'm not a lawyer or a best-selling author, I'm compelled to put in my "two cents" on Ann's recent comments about converting all the Jews, so they will be "perfected" like we Christians are.  [Please don't anyone throw a Bible at me until I have stated my opinion.

I remember being positively dumfounded -- exactly the way I am at Ann's declaration -- when I was watching a Phil Donahue show in the early 80's and heard with my own ears as Reverend Jerry Falwell made a similar proclamation on network television.  Phil asked Jerry whether he believed all Jews who refused to convert to Christianity were going to hell.  Without so much as the blink of an eye, or a moment to consider, the Reverend boldly proclaimed that "Yes!" indeed the Jews are bound for hell.  Phil Donahue was as shocked by the statement as I was, but he had neither the knowledge of Scripture nor the Christian experience to debate him, and so the statement just stood there --  un-debunked.  A pity.

Since an open hearing on Kosovo’s status in April, when Tom Lantos assured the world that the U.S. “stands foursquare for the creation of an overwhelmingly Muslim country in the very heart of Europe,” the U.S. has been the same busy bee it has been for the past decade, in feeding the Balkans to the caliphate. Hillary and The Mother of All Cover Ups By Peter F. Paul

After six years of sleepwalking through the biggest maze of corruption, obstruction of justice, and abuse of power ever witnessed by a jaded government “insider,” the clouds parted and a thunderous realization struck this observer’s consciousness. What has been glaring on the face of the public record – mirrored in a kaleidoscope of witnesses, investigations, and evidence – suddenly revealed itself in a "Where is Waldo" epiphany.

The Justice Department, in tandem with a federal judge appointed by the Clintons, as well as defense counsel directed by Clinton alter egos, used the Clinti-Vellian indictment and prosecution of Hillary's low-level campaign functionary – with the high falutin’ title of “National Finance Director” – to “immunize” the Clintons from legal and public accountability for egregious violations of the law that were orchestrated in plain view of Democrat political leaders, an A-list of Hollywood luminaries, and the American media.

Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. If you have not heard Senator Thompson speak check this speech out last month in Michigan. Judge for yourself. Having heard the other candidates speak numerous times, I believe that Thompson articulates the main objectives of conservatism the best- preserving America from totalitarian Islamic Jihadists intent on destroying America and Western Civilization and preserving American sovereignty from Democrat-Socialists who seek to transform our nation into a Socialist nation and drag us into world government. Wake up America, We are a Nation at War By Wake up America, We are a Nation at War

Some of the most interesting experiences I have had during my travels to and from the war in Iraq involved the necessary fuel stops in other nations along the route that would take me to Kuwait, the jumping off point for military forces and equipment rotating into the Iraq Theater of Operations. Both political climate and public sentiment played crucial roles in determining the type of reception that American soldiers received upon landing, and I was struck by the differences among nations that were considered American “allies.”

To illustrate, allow me to provide a few examples. In Rome, Italy, we were not allowed to leave the plane during our stop. We remained parked on the tarmac and airport personnel brought out portable stairs so that smokers could descend to the bottom for a cigarette break. I stepped outside just so that I could enjoy a breath of fresh air, having been trapped inside our plane for the past 15 hours. We were told by some airline workers that we were restricted to the plane because of the Italian public’s opposition to the war, a notion I found somewhat strange considering the Italians had a respectable number of troops serving in Iraq and then-Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was a staunch supporter of President Bush and the war.

As Newsweek noted, the threat is greater and nearer than any hysterically conjured act of terrorism.

The effective measure of quarantining the HIV-positive inhabitants of the blighted region to prevent a calamity of medieval proportions is proscribed by the latest vintage of politically correct liberalism. The West can only help them improve detection and treatment. But this is a tall order.

How neocons open the door to multiculturalism then deplore it by Lawrence Auster

An interesting-sounding article is summed up at Powerline:

Michael Barone surveys the disgraceful state of our major colleges and universities. Barone elegantly summarizes the problems--speech codes, racially discriminatory admissions policies, dishonest administrators, domination of humanities departments by leftist professors intent on portraying American society as evil--and shows how these phenomena are inter-related. Thus, speech codes protect the feelings of students admitted with relatively poor credentials pursuant to racial quotas. Meanwhile, administrators must insist that they aren't using racial quotas in admissions, so that to be an administrator at one of these elite institutions "you have to be willing to lie about what you consider one of your most important duties." But it isn't really lying because, as the humanities department has explained, "truth" is merely a construct of our racist, sexist, homophobic, and imperialistic society.
    A reader writes:
I never thought Barone would be this direct. He says speech codes came when AA brought people in who were below the standard, so their feelings wouldn't be hurt, and also to free administrators from accusations of using preferential treatment.

Indeed. Here's the key Barone passage:

THE AGE OF illusions is over," the historian Walter Laqueur wrote recently, referring to the illusions the West continues to entertain about the confrontation with radical Islam. Needless to say, Laqueur did not mean that we in the West no longer have any illusions on this subject; those still abound. He meant, rather, that we can no longer afford to harbor them and that the time has come to shed them. Yet human beings have great difficulty in freeing themselves from illusions — even quite dangerous ones — as long as they offer comfort and provide peace of mind. The best place to start the freeing process is by heeding those who are willing to tell us disturbing truths. Barry Rubin, the distinguished scholar of the Middle East, falls into this tiny minority. His brilliant and provocative new book, The Truth about Syria, not only challenges the illusions of those naturally inclined to prefer lovely daydream over harsh reality; it also challenges the illusions of those in the West who, by their own definition, are hard-nosed realists and wily pragmatists.

Suicide Bombs Target Salahadin Awakening Leader By Daveed Gartenstein-Ross

Yesterday, two suicide truck bombs targeted a leader of the Salahadin Awakening Council. (The Awakening movements that have sprouted up across Iraq during the past year are based on the model that experienced great success in the Anbar province.) The Times of London reports: "Up to 22 people were killed and many more wounded when two suicide truck bombs exploded in a town in northern Iraq today, targeting a police chief and a tribal leader who had joined forces with the US military against al-Qaeda."

This is in line with al-Qaeda in Iraq's announced campaign of assassinations intended to coincide with Ramadan. As the MEMRI Blog reports, shortly after the assassination of Abdul Sattar al-Rishawi, an extremist web site published a list of names and photos titled "Pictures of the Infidels and Apostates Wanted by the Islamic State of Iraq." The accompanying message praised al-Rishawi's killing, and threatened other tribal leaders who opposed al-Qaeda:

    Caveat Emptor By Max Boot

Are there people out there who take Wikipedia seriously as a source of objective information? There shouldn’t be, but unfortunately there are. In fact, lots of students use it a source of first resort. It’s so popular, that whenever you type almost any subject into Google, the first hit is usually for a Wikipedia entry.

Yet disinformation abounds, often motivated by animus or prejudice. There is, for instance, the by-now famous story of a former assistant to Robert F. Kennedy who was brazenly—and completely without foundation—accused on Wikipedia of complicity in the assassinations of both JFK and RFK. (For this sorry tale, see his article.)

But Musharraf has not been strengthened by the race, to the contrary. In order to secure his reelection, he was forced to agree to stand down from his command over the Pakistani military. He was further forced to accept a role for other political forces - particularly the Pakistani People's Party led by exiled former prime minister Benazir Bhutto - in the governing of the country.

The Religious Quest of George Soros By Kyle-Anne Shiver

Tivadar Schwartz, George Soros' father, rejected his own Judaism in youth, but found another "religion" at some point in the First World War.  During his years as a Russian POW, Tivadar became enthralled with the obscure, synthetic language, Esperanto.  He acquired a rudimentary knowledge of it from his fellow POWs.

Esperanto was devised by a Jewish physician in Warsaw during the 1880's.  But it wasn't (and still isn't) just a made-up language; it served as the embodiment of a cult formed around the ideas of "internationalism, anti-sectarianism and cosmopolitanism," in the words of Soros biographer Michael Kaufman. Weather Stations Giving Bad Global Warming Data: A Problem Ignored By Warner Todd Huston

A few months ago, the blogosphere and talk radio were abuzz with the story of how the nation's various weather stations and temperature reading devices have been improperly located or badly constructed and how the data received from these improper devices must be suspected as inaccurate. Since global warming research often uses this suspect data that is gotten from these failed stations, it must therefore call into question the accuracy of the entire theory as its conclusions are derived from likely false data. Still, even as the blogosphere and talk radio blasted the news, the MSM ignores this explosive story.

But, it is evident that the so-called scientific community has also ignored the arguments in this story as there has yet to be a weather station moved or its location and/or construction reevaluated.

You Want A Liberal? - We’ll Give You One!

Almost every political pundit in America is asking if hard-headed “Christian conservatives” are really prepared to defect from their Republican Party in ’08 if they can’t get a conservative nominee from the RNC. But my question is; when did respect for the “unalienable” right to Life, Liberty and Freedom, become an extreme right-wing ideal, held dear only by “Christian conservatives?”

Who told RINOs that Life, Liberty and Freedom are extreme ideas? Who told moderate Republicans that they belong to a secular socialist party? America already has a liberal party pushing secular socialist ideals in America. We don’t need two. Who is offering the nation a conservative alternative?

It's ironic to me that the countries who suffered under the rule of Marx' worker's paradise have largely rejected so many of the tenants set forth in his Communist Manifesto, while the one country that held communism at bay for over 70 years and eventually destroyed it still embraces many of those ideas.

We've gone through this before, but once again (hey, there might be new Nuze readers!) let me tell you of just two of the essential elements of a communist society as set forth in Marx's work:

The media arm of HAMAS, Al-Aqsa TV, once again is using the airwaves to indoctrinate Palestinian youth and glorify violent jihad. In recent months, HAMAS has drawn the ire of the international community with various programs aimed at filling the minds of the next generation of Palestinians with hate and violence. The underlying message of the videos has largely focused on Israeli aggression, though, in recent editions, has digressed into the fray of the Hamas-Fatah split.

A back-to-school program called "The Gifted" features a child, identified as a 2-year-old, skulking around in military garb and aiming an assault weapon "at the occupying terrorists."

"We'll wear the battle-vest of self sacrifice and follow the path of the Shahids," a child narrator says as the younger boy, his face hooded, stoops down with his weapon. Watch the video here:

    Inverted :: Wake Up America

We talk about Ayn Rand's works from time to time here because they're so visionary. Before 1950 she had given us a glimpse of sorts into the future (from her standpoint), a glimpse that ties in so well with the the world we live in today. In my mind, there is only one word that can truly describe what she saw, and the route we, as society, have chosen for ourselves today.

    Inverted.

When the Story's Got Children, Who Needs Facts? By Amy Menefee

It’s the perfect combination of sin taxes, nanny-statism and taxpayer-funded welfare – all in the name of the children.

And according to media reports, it’s President George W. Bush vs. Everyone Who Likes Children.

The story now is Bush’s October 3 veto of a massive expansion of the government-run State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). The media couldn’t resist scripting the veto as a vote against children. What’s at stake, though, included a proposed $35-billion expansion of taxpayer-funded insurance made possible by a tax increase.

SEX WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES & THE DEATH OF THE WEST :: Real Clear Religion

Margaret Sanger, a founder of planned parenthood imagined a "paradise".    She did not live to see the fulfillment of this "paradise"-- but it has arrived.  Her "paradise" has taken a horrendous toll in terms of not only souls, but also lives lost.  It has led us down a path of cultural suicide and could eventually if not recognized, bring about the death of the West.

Like the serpent's promise to Adam and Eve, Margaret Sanger visualized a world where sex reigned free of commitment and consequences.

The Darwinian Inquisition begins by Lawrence Auster

Ben W. sends more amazing material on the Council of Europe's campaign to suppress disagreement with Darwinism, based on the view that such disagreement is a threat to human rights. Which obviously implies that the next step will be to treat anti-Darwinism as "incitement to hatred" and punish it as a criminal offense.

Living in advanced liberal society is not for sissies.

    Ben writes:

The World Dictatorship Treaty By Wes Vernon

Only three Republican members of the Senate Armed Services Committee knew what the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) is, according to a recent survey. Only 3 out of the 12 GOP committee members. There was no known survey of Democrat members.

That reinforces this column's point last week ("What's the rush?" — Oct. 1, 2007) that there are 10 other Senate committees besides Foreign Relations (dominated by the bipartisan internationalist Biden-Lugar cabal) that need to hold open and (hopefully) well-publicized hearings of LOST to inform senators.

Hillary Clinton Reigns as Queen of Federal Pork By Kevin Hassett

Democrats came into power this year promising meaningful earmark reform to a U.S. electorate that was rightly disgusted with Congress's free-spending habits. Today, earmarks continue to be out of control, and the predictable result is that the Democratic Congress is now even less popular in national polls than the Republican one before it.

There is an underappreciated angle to the story of how lawmakers steer federal funds toward their pet projects that may yet swing the next presidential election. Democrats have been so busy preparing the coronation of Hillary Clinton that they have failed to train a critical eye on her record.

The test is this: Are prominent, articulate critics of radical Islam, critics who happen to be citizens of European countries or the United States, entitled to the same free speech rights enjoyed by other citizens of European countries and the United States?

Al Gore, Ignoble Laureate By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY

Once a symbol of distinction, this honor has plumbed shameful depths in recent years. A county fair blue ribbon has more significance. Since 1990, winners include terrorist Yasser Arafat, fraud Rigoberto Menchu, foreign-policy incompetents Jimmy Carter and Kofi Annan, unreconstructed communist Mikhail Gorbachev and the useless Mohamed ElBaradei.

Pulling the world apart, not together, with his global warming claims.

Each year, the Peace Prize committee has a chance to redeem itself, yet it never seems up to the task. It looks like 2007 will be no exception. Later this week, say reports, it will name as this year's co-winners Al Gore and Sheila Watt-Cloutier, a Canadian who has drawn attention to what she believes are climate change's effects on Arctic communities.

Miller's queer beer By Vox Day

"Choose this day whom you will serve," Joshua once asked the people of Israel. The Miller Brewing Company, when asked to make a similar decision, preferred to serve alcohol to catamites instead of Catholics, as evidenced by their decision to sponsor the Folsom Street Fair in Sodom-by-the-Bay last week. It is, of course, perfectly legal for Miller to wave their Genuine Draft banner proudly over the scenes of bald men in leather whipping the bare bottoms of other bald men in leather; it seems Miller is determined to identify its product with a short-lived, disease-ridden, non-propagating minority who represent at most two percent of the population.

Clash of civilizations: Battle of Lepanto revisited By Mary Jo Anderson

Today, Christians quietly recall the anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto, Oct. 7, 1571. On that date the forces of Islam battled the Holy League in a crucial engagement at Lepanto, the modern day Gulf of Corinth. The date assumes larger significance in light of recent struggles between the West and Islamic jihad.

Sparked by the events like the Danish Cartoon Wars, Pope Benedict XVI's speech at Regensburg and the fifth anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, a firestorm of renewed debate about the nature of Islamic jihad fills Western magazines and newspapers. Some maintain that the "war on terror" is the result of the Bush administration's mishandling of the attack on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Others have revised their thinking after five years.

Jonathan Last, writing in the Philadelphia Inquirer Oct. 1 states, "It's the West vs. the Islamic world, a clash that has never abated. … It predates America itself. It is a clash between Western civilization and the Islamic world."

Columbus Day—A Comanche's Philosophy By David Yeagley

Great men often suffer greatly. And where there is greatness, there is great error.  Columbus was no exception, by all accounts.

I consider Columbus one of the greatest men who ever lived, certainly since the time of Christ. I would therefore expect him to be demonized. Nevertheless, whether denounced by modern American Indian protesters paid by white liberals, or condemned by his own contemporary countrymen, the rage against Columbus has ever but slightly shadowed his true accomplishments.  Anger is a weak ideology. True greatness is untouchable and triumphant, even if it’s crucified along the way.

Schumer-Rangel Tax Hike :: New York Sun Editorial

Senator Dole once quipped that "the most dangerous place in Washington is between Senator Schumer and a television camera," but it's starting to look like the most dangerous place is between Mr. Schumer and your back pocket. Mr. Schumer had been opposing a scheme percolating in the Senate to raise the 15% tax rate that applies to "carried interest" held by certain wealthy hedge fund, private equity, and venture capital tycoons because he feared it would single out so many big donors to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee that he chairs. But it turns out — he announced this week — that he wants to rectify this attack on the leaders of the home town industry in New York by a tax hike that would "spread the pain" so that the higher tax would also be paid not only be big real estate investors but also by the energy tycoons in the corn-fields of one of the senators who started this nonsense, Charles Grassley.

Ivory Tower Decay By Michael Barone

I am old enough to remember when America's colleges and universities seemed to be the most open-minded and intellectually rigorous institutions in our society. Today, something very much like the opposite is true: America's colleges and universities have become, and have been for some decades, the most closed-minded and intellectually dishonest institutions in our society.

Colleges and universities today almost universally have speech codes, which prohibit speech deemed hurtful by others, particularly those who are deemed to be minorities (including women, who are a majority on most campuses these days).

Rebuild the American family, starting with mom and dad By Mort Zuckerman

You will hear a lot about the American family in the election campaign. For most of us, that calls up an image of a man and wife and two or three children.

Forget it. Predominant as the social pattern for several hundred years, that American family has lost its place. Households of unmarried couples and households without children outnumber "American family" households. And only about 20% of families fit into the traditional structure with father as the only breadwinner.

The New York Times Covers Haditha By John Hinderaker

The New York Times had a lot invested in Haditha. Gateway Pundit reviews the Times' coverage of the sad story, culminating in the paper's mourning for an atrocity lost:

Last year, when accounts of the killing of 24 Iraqis in Haditha by a group of marines came to light, it seemed that the Iraq war had produced its defining atrocity, just as the conflict in Vietnam had spawned the My Lai massacre a generation ago.

That sentence led the paper's coverage of the collapse of the Haditha prosecutions:

[O]n Thursday, a senior military investigator recommended dropping murder charges against the ranking enlisted marine accused in the 2005 killings, just as he had done earlier in the cases of two other marines charged in the case. The recommendation may well have ended prosecutors’ chances of winning any murder convictions in the killings of the apparently unarmed men, women and children.

Punishing Clarence Thomas By Ruben Navarrette

The confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas may be the ultimate Rorschach test. Americans look back at what transpired in that Senate hearing room in October 1991 and see what they want to see.

For those who believed Anita Hill's claims that Thomas - while serving as her boss at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission - made advances and created a hostile work environment, the hearings were about sexual harassment.

In a recent interview tied to the release of his new book, "My Grandfather's Son," Thomas said the treatment he received was really about abortion and the lengths to which the pro-choice lobby will go to keep a pro-life justice off the court.

Adopt-A-Bomb by Sigmund, Carl and Alfred

Cultural Anthropomorphism — The term anthropomorphism is used to denote the assignation of human characteristics and values to non-human, inanimate and even spiritual objects.

For example, we routinely refer to pets as our ‘babies’ or ‘children.’ Some people name their cars or computers. We almost always assign to God human-like characteristics and values. By doing so, we attempt to create a ‘human’ relationship that come with a certain set of expectations on our part. We elevate our pets to ‘love’ and depend on us in the same way a human child loves us. We ‘love’ our machines and they in return ‘perform’ for us. We imagine God as a wise old man, dispensing ‘mercy’ and ‘forgiveness’ in the same way we do.

Who Made Hillary Queen? By Geoffrey Wheatcroft

Among so much about American politics that can impress or depress a friendly transatlantic observer, there's nothing more astonishing than this: Why on Earth should Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton be the front-runner for the presidency?

She has now pulled well ahead of Sen. Barack Obama, both in polls and in fundraising. If the Democrats can't win next year, they should give up for good, so she must be considered the clear favorite for the White House. But in all seriousness: What has she ever done to deserve this eminence? How could a country that prides itself on its spirit of equality and opportunity possibly be led by someone whose ascent owes more to her marriage than to her merits?

Meyers was an attorney on the defense team that successfully defended Justin Sharratt, a Marine infantryman accused of multiple murders at Haditha.
