There’s an oft-alluded to rule in presidential races that says candidates should run to the extreme base of the party to get nominated then drift to the center once the nomination is secured.
Today, Barack Obama gave a speech about the economy and not much drift was apparent. One gets the idea that Barack Obama’s notion of where the “center” is might only be validated at a Daily Kos barbecue celebrating Fidel Castro’s birthday.
