I Hope The Supremes Are Happy By Bob Parks

With yet another probable rape/murder of a young girl in Vermont, I hope the liberal members of the Supreme Court who voted to spare child rapists of the death penalty slept well last night.

I'm sorry, but should I win my state legislative race this fall, I plan on testing that decision again by introducing a "one strike, your dead" bill that would put child rapists/murderers away for life the first time they victimize a child.

The time for compassion and mercy is over.

The Erosion of Free Speech By Janet Levy

Although the headline of the June 8th article in the Daily Times of Pakistan read “Pakistan to ask EU to amend laws on freedom of expression,” the request from high-level government officials was in reality a threat. The six-person Pakistani delegation was set to deliver a warning that unless blasphemy against Islam stopped, terrorist attacks against European assets could escalate. Their cited example was the suicide bomb attack this June 2 on the Danish Embassy in Pakistan in which eight people died and 27 were injured as a result of possible renewed backlash to the 2005 publication of 12 editorial cartoons depicting the Islamic prophet Mohammed.

Except, of course, that "Death to Israel!" was scrawled on one wall of the mosque.

When Americans landed on the moon, they left only their footprints and a flag behind. When patriots rally on July 4th of every year to celebrate American independence, flags can be seen throughout the throngs of people at parades. Because the flag of a nation is so symbolically important to that nation, enemies of that nation burn that flag while demonstrating. The American flag, for example, is representative of the country and culture that leftists, multiculturalists, and Muslims seek to eradicate, so the flag is often burned during their demonstrations.

The Tragic End of Bush's North Korea Policy By JOHN R. BOLTON

Maskirovka – the Soviet dark art of denial, deception and disguise – is alive and well in Pyongyang, years after the Soviet Union disappeared. Unfortunately, the Bush administration appears not to have gotten the word.

With much fanfare and choreography, but little substance, the administration has accepted a North Korean "declaration" about its nuclear program that is narrowly limited, incomplete and almost certainly dishonest in material respects.

Money talks Barack Obama into get-together with Hillary Clinton Tom Baldwin

BARACK Obama will go through the courtship rituals of staging a public display of affection with Hillary Clinton this week, which, some of her leading supporters complain, is motivated only by a desire to get his hands on the money she can raise for him.

After losing a bruising 18-month fight for the Democratic nomination, Senator Clinton has pledged to give Senator Obama whatever support he needs to win the White House. He, in turn, has been at pains to pay generous tributes to her in his recent speeches.

As Obama stonewalls on uncertified birth certificate, official doubts mount :: IsraelInsider

A senior official in the State of Hawaii's Department of Health, Director of Communications Janice Okubo, confirms that the image published and circulated by the Obama campaign as his "birth certificate" lacks the necessary embossed seal and signature. Backing away from a quote attributed to her that the image on the campaign site was "valid," she told the St. Petersburg (Florida) Times in an article published yesterday: "I don't know that it's possible for us to even say beyond a doubt what the image on the site represents."

Betrayed by the New York Times by Wayne Simmons

I’ve been pretty amused by all the hand-wringing about the treatment of terrorist detainees in Iraq, Afghanistan and at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Those of us who have risked our lives in the covert service of our country have seen the enemy up close and know him well enough. We don’t worry if he’s not given the same treatment the LA cops would give a Rodeo Drive purse snatcher.

The Racism and Politics of Planned Parenthood by Ericka Andersen

The dream of Martin Luther King, Jr. was more than desegregation. It was prosperity, life and liberty -- Constitutional metrics for success -- for every person of every color in every stage of life. King’s niece, Dr. Alveda King, now leads a movement pitted against Planned Parenthood for targeting the black community for abortion.

The War Inside NBC by Jed Babbin

The guest list for the funeral mass for “Meet the Press” anchor Tim Russert was an “A list” of politicians and media mentionables. Yorktown University Beats the Odds By Paul M. Weyrich

In 1993 Dr. Richard J. Bishirjian visited with me and told of his vision for an internet university which would teach traditional economic and cultural ideas. The idea was that YorktownUniversity.com would offer a Master of Arts in Government at a fraction of the cost of traditional brick-and-mortar schools but with a faculty equal to those of the finest universities in the nation. I enthusiastically supported the idea and personally invested in this for-profit corporation. I disregarded the criticism others had for the idea, especially after Bishirjian assembled an impressive faculty. Bishirjian asked me to serve on the Board of Directors, which I also agreed to do.

“The People” narrowly prevail, 5-4 By Mark Alexander

“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” —Second Amendment to the United States Constitution

Yesterday, in a narrow 5-4 vote (Scalia, Alito, Roberts, Thomas and Kennedy), the Supreme Court reaffirmed, in District of Columbia v. Heller, that the people’s inherent right to keep and bear arms is plainly enumerated in our Constitution. The Court ruled that the Second Amendment ensures an individual right, that DC could not ban handguns, and that operable guns may be maintained in the homes of law-abiding DC residents.

Anglicans In Jerusalem: Biblically Loyal Vs. Homosexual Liberals by J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Anglican loyalists are knowledgeable that sin has sought to penetrate the faithful in centuries prior, only to come under divine wrath. They are also buoyed up to know that God has promised

The Holy City is where biblically loyal Anglicans gather to solidify their abhorrence against active homosexuality, particularly within their own denomination.

The Dream Ticket by Srdja Trifkovic

“While the natural instincts of democracy lead the people to banish distinguished men from power,” Tocqueville wrote in Democracy in America, “an instinct no less powerful leads distinguished men to shun careers in politics, in which it is so very difficult to remain entirely true to oneself or to advance without self-abasement.”

Some 170 years and 36 presidents later, the choice presented to the American people at this year’s presidential election does not merely confirm the correctness of the Frenchman’s assessment; it amplifies his verdict in an absurd, almost surreal manner.

'Critical Thinking' Law Ends Evolutionists Monoply in Louisiana Schools By Amy Proctor

Kudos to Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal for signing the Louisiana Science Education Act. This law, which ensures that science present evidence both for and against Darwinian evolution in Louisiana public schools, essentially ends the monopoly in the science classrooms by evolutionists hostile to the Intelligent Design theory, or creationism. It also promotes critical thinking in the classroom after decades of evolution-only teaching that has bullied other theories out of the teaching process in America’s public schools.

Obama’s 0-5 Program Reminiscent of Nazi Germany by Michael Yost

Sen. Obama’s 0-6 child care proposal is probably the one single idea that he has envisioned that is the greatest direct threat to the very foundation of this nation. Our social experiment of a democratic republic is under direct assault and the future outcome of this nation is in doubt should Sen. Obama become our next President. When we hear from the liberal left that our children are our most important resource, there is another side of that rhetoric that bears deeper examination and should instill fear in every single parent and grandparent in this nation.

Obama’s Boys of Summer By Daniel Flynn

Backing a major-party candidate for president would have been anathema to Michael Klonsky 40 summers ago, when the organization he led, Students for a Democratic Society, urged young people to spurn elections. “By ’68, our line was ‘Vote in the Streets,’” Klonsky told me last spring. “We thought we had to fight with Eugene McCarthy and those people.” In August 1968, protesters clashed with police outside the Democratic Party’s national convention in Chicago—but far from being political innocents who took to the streets to protest Vietnam War hawks’ capture of the Democratic presidential nomination, many of them never supported antiwar candidates McCarthy and Robert Kennedy.

Drilling In ANWR :: The Barnyard

Pamela Gellar has some great pictures of ANWR posted as well as some interesting graphics about the scope of the area that they want to drill in. The Democrats are lieing to us once again about why they refuse to drill. Al Gore once suggested that the government should artificialy raise the price of gas to get people out of their cars and into public transportation to save the planet from those awful greenhouse gasses. They don't give a flying rat's ass about the environment or poor people they just want to control where we live, work and how we get there.

LIARS' ROUND-UP By Ralph Peters

THE facts about your security are being torn to shreds by activist liars. And they think that you're too stupid to know the difference.

Let's lay out the worst current examples of media make-believe and election-year truth-trashing:

Whopper No. 1: America is less safe today than it was on Sept. 10, 2001. Oh, really? Where's the evidence? The Clinton years saw New York City attacked and Americans slaughtered by terrorists around the globe. Nothing was done to protect us.

And the true end of the Clinton era came on 9/11.
