"Taking Out" the Big Guns By Erik Rush

Over the last few weeks, Americans have had the benefit of witnessing the far-Left at its most revealing; that is, base, juvenile, mendacious, opportunistic and currently, desperate.

“Bill O’Reilly’s a racist!”

I was asked to appear on a Denver area radio program last week to discuss the dynamics and ramifications of the uproar surrounding Fox News’ broadcaster Bill O’Reilly’s allegedly racist marks following his dinner with civil rights activist Al Sharpton at a restaurant in Harlem (the legendary and predominantly black district of New York City) three weeks ago. O’Reilly’s comments, as one might guess, were not racist but were interpreted as such by elements in the media, civil rights activists and poverty pimps across America. He was descended upon and excoriated by same and compelled to illustrate the demonization and calumny that is standard operating procedure for the far-Left.

The host of the show on which I appeared asked (for the sake of listeners; she already knew the answer) why O’Reilly was being targeted with such vitriol, doggedness and abandon.

“He’s a big gun,” I told my gracious host.

“Rush Limbaugh’s anti-military!”
