What is it about Republican candidates for President? They get nominated, and all of a sudden they get this grand delusion that they can “change the tone in Washington DC”, like they are some grand peace maker. Bush 43 ran on that theme, and actually was naive enough to think he could make nice and be friends with the libs in the Democrat party. Yeah… that worked well.
Now it’s McCain’s turn. He wants to keep this debate “respectful and on the issues”. No need to get rough with your opponent… this from Fox News:
