Obama VP Finalist - Little Johny Edwards - Busted In LA With Mistress And Love Child
John Edwards, former Democrat presidential candidate and currently on Obama's "short list" for VP was this morning busted by the National Enquirer in the Beverly Hilton hotel with his mistress Rielle Hunter,and their love child.
Confronted by the Enquirer's phalanx of reporters and photographers Edward's reportedly ran and hid in a bathroom for 15 minutes before being escorted past the reporters by hotel security personnel.

Unless You are John Edwards' wife, what he does with whom in a motel room with the door closed is none of your concern or mine. Your coverage of this story is an embarrassment. My reaction is not that of a liberal, but of a libertarian. I have no use for John Edwards politically and am quite happy the guy got his rear kicked in the primary race, but that is not the issue here. It is not acceptable to hound or harass or invade the privacy of a person simply because their political views are misguided or they are effete snobs. I have been a regular viewer of Fox for some time now and I will switch channels any and every time you folks even mention this story.
In principle I comepletely agree with you - except when it comes to those who seek to be or who are elected to public office. They forfit all 'rights to privacy' because the rest of us are affected by everything they do. Character matters - a lot. You cannot tell me that a person who has no honor, principles or morals in their private life can be expected to act honorable and honestly in discharging their duties as an elected official. The real problem is that all too often we don't know enough about people we elect. There is absolutely no shortage of proof that this is so.
