"A few weeks ago I was stopped at an intersection waiting for the light to change when the car next to me suddenly went in reverse. For a split second I freaked out, thinking that I was lurching forward into the intersection and an accident. Obviously, I quickly realized that I was not moving forward but that my foolish neighbor on the street was moving backward. From what I can tell, this sensory illusion or, should I say, delusion, has happened to more people than we might realize. As I observed the other car backing into a parking space, I felt a bit foolish myself for having lost it for a second.

Unfortunately, it has become increasingly obvious that conservatives are nowhere near moving forward as much as liberals are going in reverse. Conservatives are not becoming any more rational, logical, patriotic, pragmatic or American as much as liberals are increasingly becoming less so. Simply put, conservatives are no closer to getting a clue as much as liberals are becoming increasingly clueless."
