When a couple of writers for the Politico asked John McCain how may homes that he owned, McCain said he didn't know, they could check with his staff. That quote made the internet, and provoked a strong response from the Obama campaign, which even prepared and began airing a campaign commercial. Following the lead of their chosen candidate, the MSM picked up on the Obama response and piled on to McCain.
