Democrat Senator Jay Rockefeller As Treacherous As Ever By Joan Swirsky

In 2005, I wrote about Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) – Chairman of the Senate’s Committee on Intelligence – and his betrayal of our country. It is interesting to note here that of the numerous political articles I’ve written over the years, all of them remain on the Internet’s World Wide Web, but the one I wrote about Rockefeller mysteriously vanished. I managed to retrieve the article from a Canadian website that published it.

Here, I intend to show that, as the French say, plus ça change, plus la même chose – the more things change, the more they remain the same.

Just as Rockefeller used the prestige of his position to undermine our country – and President Bush – during the lead-up to the war in Iraq, he is now using that same power to undermine the president about the recent, phony-baloney National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) released last week, that claimed the destruction of videotaped interrogations of terrorists in November 2006 is covering up “torture” employed by the Central Intelligence Agency.
